    This photography taken from the balcony of the Bank of Australasia, Crow's Nest, shows the devastation wrought by the fire which occurred in the centre of the township early yesterday morning. In the foreground may be seen all that remains of the wall of Mr. A. French's hairdressing saloon. The Bank of Australasia, which is a wooden building and is situated a few feet from this wall, was the lost building menaced by the fire, and, although the wall was scorched, it escaped damage because of the efforts of the fire fighters.
