  3. MRS. WALLIS SIMPSON AT CANNES

    REPORTS THAT MRS. SIMPSON WAS ILL WERE DENIED AT CANNES, where she posed on Tuesday for this photograph. It was transmitted from France to London via telephone wire, and thence specially to The Sun News-Pictorial by beam wireless last night. This is the first time an Australian newspaper has reproduced a picture transmitted successfully by this dual method. Mrs. Simpso n is second from right in thepicture, between her host and hostess, Mr. and Mrs. herman Rogers, at whose villa in Cannes she is staying.
