  3. Young Buglers Are Preparing- For Anzac Day

    SCHOOL BUGGLERS WHO WILL SOUND THE LAST POST AND REVEILLE ON ANZAC DAY are learning the art at the Engineers’ Depot, Alexander Avenue. Their instructor is Major A. J. Dwyer, D.S.O. (right), of Thornbury State school. These pictures show some of the 200 boys from metropolitan State schools who are attending this special class, which was sanctioned by the Education Department. In addition to the usual ceremony at all State schools on Anzac Day next month, address will be given to scholars by speakers from the returned Soldiers' League and Legacy Club. ... [ILLUSTRATED]
