  3. Carnival Queen In The City's Battle Of Roses

    THE FLORAL QUEEN AND HER ATTENDANTS, in their flower-decked wagon, were the centre of attraction in the procession of beautifully decorated cars and lorries which passed through Melbourne on Saturday while the Battle of Flowers was at its height. The queen (centre) is Miss Dorothy Parnham, who was selected from a large number of entrants as Melbourne's most beautiful girl.
