  3. Crowds Waited Yesterday To Greet New Liner

    MELBOURNE GAVE A WARM—AND SULTRY—WELCOME TO THE ORIENT LINER ORONTES, when it arrived yesterday on its maiden voyage from London. A crowd, estimated at nearly 4000, some of which is shown (lower) greeting third class passengers, waited on Prince’s Pier for the vessel, which is a notable addition to the England-Australia service.
