  3. Conference That Settled The Timber Strike

    CONFERENCE OF EMPLOYERS AND UNION REPRESENTATIVES WHICH SETTLED THE TIMBER STRIKE after separate meetings of the different bodies concerned had been held in Melbourne yesterday. On the extreme left is Mr. J. MacDougall, president of the Chamber of Manufactures. Next to him is the Lord Mayor (Cr. H. Luxton), beside whom is the chairman of the conference, Sir Robert Gibson.
