  3. First Supermarine Craft Passes Tests Successfully

    AUSTRALIA'S FIRST SUPERMARINE underwent a series of highly successful trials at Point Cooke yesteday. It cost £18,000 to build and is the biggest machine owned by the R.A.A.F. For its crew of five, collapsible beds have been provided, and there is also complete accommodation for a wireless operator. The second supermarine, being built here, will be completed about a week hence, and the two machines will take part in the welcome to the British flying boats which are now on their way to Australia.
