Article : 54 wordsSWIRLING FLOOD WATERS FROM THE SWOLLEN LATROBE have caused considerable damage in the Yallourn, Traralgonn and surrounding districts. As a result of the flood, between 300 and 400 miners at Yallourn are idle, and stock from drought areas has been lost. Further damage has been caused by flood waters along the upper reaches of the Yarra. This photograph, taken by a staff photographer yesterday, shows the main Traralgon, Glengarry road, now under water. The only indications of the existence of a road are the telegraph poles and wires. ... [ILLUSTRATED]
