    with a simple but impressive service on the steps of Parliament House, which was attended by vice-regal representatives, civic and military officials and the wives and mothers of fallen soldiers. The above pictures of the ceremony show the Guard of Honor presenting arms to the salute of the Governor (Lord Somers) and (lower) crippled soldiers, some of whom were brought from Caulfield Military Hospital.
