    OLD AND NEW MELBOURNE BUILDINGS PRESENT A STRIKING CONTRAST, as seen from the highest viewpoint in the city-proper— the tower on the roof of the great T. and G. building in Russell-street. From the tower, the thoroughfare seems lined by insignificant buildings, completely dwarfed by the giant structure now nearing completion.
