Advertising : 46 wordsTHE POMP AND CEREMONY THAT ALWAYS MARKS THE OPENING OF PARLIAMENT caused a large crowd lo gather outside Federal Parliament House yesterday. When Lord Forster stepped from the vice-regal carriage, he was accorded a Royal Salute, the Artillery Band playing the opening bars of the National Anthem. A salute of 21 guns was fired from the Domain battery. After having inspected the guard of honor, the Governor-General was conducted into the Senate Chamber, where he read his speech.
