    T. E. HOWARD, OF N.S.W., WON THE PROFESSIONAL GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP OF VICTORIA yesterday, by defeating W. L. Spicer, of Barwon Heads, three up and two to play. The morning round was keenly contested, and they finished all square at the 18th. In the afternoon, Howard scored an advantage early, and never afterwards lost it. In the picture Spicer (left) is shown congratulating his Vanquisher. Judging by his expression, one would think it was he who had won. Such is sportsmanship. ... [ILLUSTRATED]
