    WITH FLOWING MANE, DISTENDED NOSTRILS, AND GLISTENING EYES, the stately thoroughbreds which took part in the York Hurdle at the Flemington Birthday race Meeting on Saturday, sprang eagerly at the fences. Some of the jumpers are seen as they passed the Judge's Box on the first time round. Ralglass is leading from Sir Charles (winner), and Tressayr, Ralglass and Sir Charles are aspirants for Grand National honors. Ralglass made the running for over a mile and a half, but knocked up when supplanted by Sir Charles near the home turn. ... [ILLUSTRATED]
