    TWO HUNDRED UNEMPLOYED MEN marched to the offices of the Premier (Mr. Allan) yesterday afternoon, to confront him with the necessity of urgent relief. Only about 50 managed to force their way into the building past two policemen (6), who tried to check them. While reinforcements were being rushed from Russell-street, the Chief Clerk (Mr. Wickham) reasoned with the men. Frustrated in their attempt to see the Premier, the men then joined the main body and marched away.
