    A SERIES OF MAIDEN OVERS opened the third day’s play of the interstate match on the Melbourne ground yesterday. The N.S.W. first innings concluded early in the afternoon, with the visitors' score standing at 268. The Victorians opened their second innings with a lead of 17. Top: E. R.
