  4. PLANE NOSE-DIVES ON FRENCH'S FOREST FARM

    Wreckage of the Tiger Moth plane which crashed today on farm property in Haig Ave., French's Forest, fatally injuring Frederick Stokes (about 35) and injuring Bruce Cowan (32), the other occupant. Stokes and Cowan wrestled with the dual controls for two minutes in an attempt to right the plane before it crashed. Nose of the machine was splintered to matchwood. Stokes and Cowan had intended to fly to Tamworth. (See Story, Page 3.) ... [ILLUSTRATED]
