The 75th anniversary of the ANZAC landing at Gallipoli has been commemorated at home and abroad. At Gallipoli, HMA Ships SYDNEY, TOBRUK and OXLEY provided a naval backdrop to the sombre proceedings. The Navy remembered some of its fallen at Gallipoli during a special memorial service. Conducted over the sunken wreck of the Australian submarine AE2 in the guided missile frigate HMAS SYDNEY. The service was a special occasion for the RAN to commemorate the loss of the AE2 and the death of four of her sailors as Turkish POWS.
