    The Metropolitan Police Football Club placed a couple of teams North and South of the Yarra, on the field at South Melbourne on Wednesday of last week. The North team ledt in the scoring during three quarters, but in the final South, with a rally, on 3 goals 1 behind, but were unable to overtake their opponents’ score, the North winning by 7 goals 5 behinds, to South’s 4 goals 4 behinds. Our photos show the South team, known as the “Tigers,” in yellow and black, at the top, with the North team, the “Old Blues,” in navy blue.
