  5. SPECTRAL IN RAIN, 'PLANES ROAR AVIATOR'S DIRGE

    DEFYING THE ELEMENTS THAT MASSED IN MENACE, eight 'planes over South Head Cemetery roared Neil Stewart's requiem yesterday. Through a wall of rain the 'planes circled like spectres over Watson's Bay (top left). Among the wreaths, which filled several cars, was one inscribed, "From his A team mates, Chaseling and Littlejohn" (top right).
