  4. BRITAIN CHEERS ITS NEW KING

    Beginning with the commemoration service in the churches, the people of Sydney yesterday thronged the various celebrations in honor of the King's Coronation. On the extreme left are shown the crowded pews at the service in St. Andrew's Cathedral. Next are the schoolgirls and boys who formed portion of the congregation of 16,000 children at the service at St. Mary's Cathedral and nearby is a section of the crowd in George Street watching the official visitors arriving at St. Andrew's. The church services were followed by the Lord Mayor's luncheon to citizens, a section of the crowd lined up at the doors being seen in the. next picture, after which is a snap of the Governor, Lord Wake hurst, at the citizens' luncheon table. The military review in Centennial Park drew a huge crowd. Mr. Lang, the leader of the Opposition, is shown among the official visitors on the dais watching the manoeuvres.
