    The official design for the Harbor Bridge, as approved by the Minister for Works (Mr. Griffith). The estimated cost is £2,500,000 for the bridge and approaches. This bridge supersedes the Advisory Booard's pillar-supported bridge, and a sum of £150,000 will be saved in the cost of construction. The design is the work of the engineer-in-charge (Mr. Bradfield). Two lines of electric railway and a broad roadway for vehicles will cross the bridge. It is not proposed to run tramways over it. The main bridge consists of nickel steel cantilevers supporting central girders also constructed of nickel steel. The anchor or shore arms of the cantilevers, and the harbor or cantilever arms are each 580ft ... [ILLUSTRATED]
