  6. Looking Down from Aloft on Familiar Brisbane Scenes.

    In this striking picture one of the most important sections of the city is illustrated. Flying in Captain Treacy's Avro aeroplane at a height of about 3000ft over Kangaroo Point, the staff photographer of "The Mail" has been able to present a remarkably interesting scene from an unusual point of view. Focussing his camera on Victoria Bridge, he was able to include many places of interest--the Botanic Gardens (in the right bottom corner), the University grounds Parliament House, George-street with Government offices and Law Courts, a busy portion of South Brisbane, and stretching away to the West and North the thickly populated suburbs of Milton, Paddington, Red Hill, and Bowen Hills.
