    ''PUT IT THERE'' SAID THE DUKE.-- As the Queen and the Duke entered their Land Rover to drive round the oval at the ex-servicemen's and women's rally at the Exhibition, Navy veteran Bill McLellan, 73, of Sandgate, spontaneously moved from the ranks of the ex-servicemen toward the Duke with his hand outstretched and said: ''I would like to shake your hand, sir." The Duke replied: "Put it there," and shook. The ex-services roared. Next to seeing Her Majesty and the Duke they voted it the best thing of the day.
