    This is an age in which invention and discovery have reached their zenith. The power to produce, aided by machinery and science, is so stupendous that the factories and warehouses are glutted with goods, which thousands cannot buy because they are unemployed, and therefore without wages. In all countries the same thing exists. Before the war, the workers suffered poverty and misery; there were unemployed and marches of hungry men. Now that the war is over the workers still suffer poverty and misery and the unemployed march in the city streets. Obviously capitalism and unemployment go together. ... [ILLUSTRATED]
