Advertising : 427 wordsThe bi-centenary of the birth af Captain Cook, which occurs to-morrow (Saturday), is to be marked by an exhibition of manuscripts, paintings and other relics of the great explorer in the Mitchell Library, Sydney. The exhibits will be drawn from public and private collections, and will include some of the rarest existing Cook manuscripts and books. At the explorer's birthplace, Marton-in-Cleveland, and other places in Yorkshire, with which he was associated, fitting celebrations have already been held, as well as Karukakon.
