    Anzac Day in Adelaide last Friday was marked by impressive scenes and greater solemnity than usual, due probably to events overseas, where many of the veterans who took part in the march and the subsequent service at the Cross of Sacrifice have sons and other close relatives serving with the Second A.I.F. The Governor General (Lord Gowrie) took the salute in King William Road, where the State Governor (Sir Malcolm Barclay-Harvey), Lady Muriel, the Lieutenant-Governor (Sir George Murray), and the heads of the naval, military, and air services were in attendance. After the service in Pennington Gardens many wreaths were laid at the base of the Cross of Sacrifice. ... [ILLUSTRATED]
