SIGHTS, SCENES, AND CROWDS IN THE CITY DURING THE PATRIOTIC PAGEANT LAST WEEK Australia Day was enthusiastically celebrated on Friday, July 26, when the streets of the metropolis were filled with spectators, who gave liberally towards the fund for the insurance of soldiers on active service.
