    PAGEANT AND PROCESSION IN CONNECTION WITH THE BED CROSS APPEAL, HELD IN ADELAIDE LAST WEEK. The children of the schools of South Australia were this year entrusted with the task of making the animal appeal on behalf of the Red Cross. A procession and button day on April 10, followed by a demonstration on the Adelaide Oval on April 13 were the means successfully adopted to reach the pockets of the public. 1. The procession in King William-street on April 10. 2. and 6. Decorated motor cars. 3. The Maypole Dance on the Oval, in which 1,610 children participated, 4. Fisher Girl's Concert Party. 5 The Underwood Band. 7. A unit of boy correctors. 8. Corner of the oval on Saturday last. 9. A human Union Jack, formed by hundred of children. 10. Forming the flag. 11. A street stall. 12. Children's dinner-hour on the lawn in fromt of Government House. 13. Scooping in shillings in King William-street. 14. Map of Australia and the word "Anzac" formed by 14,000 children. 15. In front of the Commonwealth Bank. 16. A suburban school party. ... [ILLUSTRATED]
