    The above map shows the advance made by the Anglo-French troops up to July 15. Since that time a further advance has been made, the British having pushed forward to Pozieres—where this afternoon's messages inform us the Australians have secured a footing. Pozieres is, as a glanct at the map will show, on the main road from Albert to Bapaume, the latter town being, it is thought, General Sir Douglas Haig's objective.
