    There were nearly 100 more cattle yarded at the Abattoirs yesterday than in the previous week, the total being 1,688 head. The selection as regards quality was disappointing. With the exception of odd station consignments, which arrived in nice trade order, and a few drafts of quality paddock feds, the btlk of the offering comprised middling classes, while the percentage of light­weights and plain descriptions was also heavy. Although competition for best quality handyweights was fairly strong, values generally were slightly easier. Other classes, however, owing to their abundance, were dull of Bale, and prices showed a marked depredation. ...
