  4. LORD AND LADY STRADBROKES FAREWELL DRIVE TO THE CITY.

    A wonderful demonstration was given to Lord and Lady Stradbroke et each halting place on their last drive from Malvern te the Spenser street station. The first part of the Journey was made in a motor-car, the change to the State carriage being made at the South African war memorial in St, Kilda road, where the photograph on the left was taken. The mayer of South Melbourne (Councillor Kent) delivered a farewell address at this point. The other photograph was taken at the Prahran Town Hall. Lord Stradbroke received an address from the mayor (Councillor Holdsworth), while Lady Stradbroke turned to the other side of the car to shake hands with the crowds of well-wishers. ...
