    THE STORY SO FAR.—Alan Dundas, a young vinegrower, discovers a mysterious underground structure on his properly. After immense labour, and a series of narrow escapes from death by traps, he penetrates to a series of six amazing galleries, in one of which he finds a small temple wherein is the form of a beautiful woman under a glass dome. He calls in the aid of his friend Dr. Barry, and the two proceed to lift the dome. Barry pulls down the lever, and the dome is lifted with case.
