    A small but enterprising scientific expedition from Adelaide had a busy sojourn during the earlier part of January on the isolated Pearson Islands, in the Australian Bight. The party consisted of Prof. Wood Jones and two stepdaughters, Professors T. G. B. Osborn ami J. B. Clelaud, and.Messrs. Edgar R. Waite, D. Campbell, and E. Eldridge. Fine weather generally was experienced, but strong winds occasionally made conditions unpleasant. One day, when members returned to camp they found the tent blown down and various belongings scattered far and wide.
