  2. NORWOOD WIN THE FOOTBALL PREMIERSHIP

    The meeting of the old football rivals. Norwood and Port Adelaide, to decide the premiership of the South Australian League attracted about 36,000 persons to the Adelaide oval last Saturday. After a brilliant exhibition, the "Redlegs" soundly defeated the "Magpies" by 41 points, the final scores being:— Norwood, 16 goals 14 behinds: Port Adelaide. 10 goals 9 behinds.
