  2. EXTRAORDINARY VIEW OF BRISBANE THROUGH CEILING OF CLOUDS--WHERE CENTRAL BRIDGE WOULD LIE.

    This excellent photograph of the city was taken at an altitude of 4,000 feet while rain clouds still were casting their shadows. Kangaroo Point is prominent and the white lines indicate the position which the proposed central bridge spanning Bowen Terrace and the Point would occupy. The heart of the city is in the foreground. Note the cloud shadows on the river near Victoria Bridge. After skying a ball from O'Reilly, Leeson runs optimistically to the other cud of the wicket where Howell is waiting to take on easy catch. ... [ILLUSTRATED]
