The Governor (Sir Leslie Wilson) was a member of the Wanderers or Queensland Cricket Association Team which met an eleven from the United Service Club on the Exhibition Oval. The picture on the left shows the Governor, Miss Marjorie Wilson and Captain T. P. Honnor, A.D.C., enjoying some of the incidents. In the centre His Excellency is seen in action; he scored 32 before being dismissed. The visitors took a keen interest in the Governor as a cricketer and, as revealed by the third picture, he was the cynosure of all eyes even when off field. The wealth of our spring blooms was revealed at the fete and flower show held in the Albert Hall to supplement the funds of the Central Methodist Mission.
