This monster of truly ferocious aspect was landed some time ago at a North Coast port. It is one of the best specimens of the great saw fish caught in New South Wales waters for some years. Although rot by any means a common species, it is occasionally seen playing havoc amongst shoals of fish in the bays and estuaries along the coast.
