Advertising : 218 wordsTo eliminate washouts on the road across the Bajool weir on the Bajool-Toonda Road, the Main Roads Board has raised the level of the weir by 2 ft and laid a concrete surface on top of the weir. A 42 in. by-wash at the Bajool end of the weir will cope with the normal flow of water and any small flooding. The stone-pitched apron on the downstream side has been extended to help prevent washouts. Although the work is not yet fully completed, the road is now open to traffic. ... [ILLUSTRATED]
