Australia's greatest picnic races, which will attract crowd approaching: 50,000 people on Easter Monday, when the Great Eastern Steeplechase will bo run. Inside the horseshoe can be seen a typical view of the crowd on the flat before a race. Outside the horseshoe are head studies of some of the Great Eastern candidates which will race for the £2,000, stakes. The centre one is the favourite, Seafit, and on the left are (abore) Bang Bang, and his rider, T. McGahan, and Hungarian and B. Fuller. On the right are (abore) Woomera and W.
