Advertising : 46 wordsAN EXTRAORDINARY HUNTING INCIDENT occurred during a meet of the Melbourne Hunt Club at Berwick yesterday when a fox which had led the hounds on a long chase took refuge in a hollow tree. One of the hounds followed, and chased the animal up inside of the trunk to an opening where he stuck The fox crawled further away into a hollow branch, and had to be dislodged by severing the branch. The master of the hunt is shown using an axe, while another huntsman is trying to free the hound (also inset). Fox, hound and two huntsmen were together in the tree.
