Summary
  • A survey conducted by the Credit Research Center using a sample of retail credit card holders from around the US revealed a switch to the use of third-party credit card in place of store cards when allowed by store management. The finding reflects the fall in retailers' share of revolving credit outstanding from about 40% to only 13% between the end of 1980 and the end of 1993.
