W.S. Kimpton and Sons.; Flour milling industries. Victoria. W.S. Kimpton and Sons, 1875-1980.; Victoria.
This book tells the story of W. S. Kimpton, who arrived from England in 1853 and made a significant contribution to the development of the flour milling industry in Victoria. He retired in 1913, but his company in the hands of his sons, grandsons and great-grandsons kept going for another sixty years. The book also tells of the decline of the flour-milling industry in Victoria, from 160 mills in the 1870s to five in the 1980s. Photographs; bibliography; endnotes; index.
