Includes map of the island and chromo-lithographic coloured portraits by Thomas Bock of Aboriginal people (including Truggernana) (Truganini) and James Smith (Mount Bischoff Tin Mines). Includes folding frontispiece map. Ferguson 9580 MS Inner front cover reads "Presented to the Congregational College Melbourne by the Author Launceston Tasmania February 1885" Stamps throughout of Congregational College Melbourne Library.
