  • The Apiaria was first published in 1642 in two volumes; the third volume may have been added in 1654. It was published separately in 1659 as Apiaria novissima.

  • This edition has the engraved portrait of Prince Raimondo Montecuccoli (1609-1680) on the recto of the first leaf A1; the frontispiece is a complicated allegory with bees, the Jesuit symbol, and scientific and military engineering illustrations.
  • Includes indexes.
  • LC copy has t.p. bound in after the first p. 58. Both the general t.p. and the appendix t.p. are cancels. The proper position for the half title is not apparent in this copy.
