  • An updated version of William Faden's 1787 world map showing routes of Cook's expeditions.
  • The map shows discoveries in both the arctic and the antarctic seas. James Clark Ross accompanied his uncle Captain John Ross on his first arctic voyage in search of a North-West passage in 1818. Between 1819 and 1827 he joined four expeditions under Captain Parry.
  • Also shows discoveries in Australia.
