  • This report describes the Queensland Platforms Project - a pilot project to establish common and collaborative partnerships in early childhood education and care in three communities in Queensland. The Project was conducted by the Centre for Community Child Health and based on 'Platforms', their service redevelopment framework designed to assist local communities strengthen their capacity to promote positive outcomes for children and improve local child and family services. This report explains the background, achievements, and challenges of the the Project, and presents the evaluation findings and recommendations for development and sustainability. The evaluation found that the Project has made real progress, with each of the three communities having established a partnership group that meets regularly and continues to build new connections to respond to local needs, facilitate integration of early childhood development services and programs, and drive better outcomes for children and families.
