  • Photo of the Cooper family home at 1299 Dandenong Road . It appears that a garage is being constructed on the east side of the house. Tow children playing are likely to be the Cooper children
  • The Cooper family home was in Dandenong Road on the west corner of Millewa Avenue. The house was built in 1926 for Joseph Cooper. (Refer plan BP8670 reg. #3930).
  • 1287-91 Dandenong Road, was the site of Cooper's Timber Yard, known as JR Cooper &​ Co Pty Ltd Timber Merchants and Joinery Specialists, established by Joseph Robert Cooper in 1925. After Joseph's death in 1967 his two sons Francis Robert Cooper and Edward Vernon Cooper took over the Yard until it closed in 1979.
  • Joseph Cooper was the owner of JR Cooper (NottingHill) Timber Mill Pty Ltd and also Avon Logging Co. Pty, Ltd, both still running at the time of his death. Around 1955 the store was moved to Cooper's bigger mill at Notting Hill.
