In addition, there are Oldberg's student notebooks containing harmony and counterpoint studies and his sketchbooks from Northwestern. The correspondence details his years in Europe as a student as well as his later activities as composer and instructor. Notable correspondents include Charles Wakefield Cadman, Arthur Farwell, Arthur Foote, Frederic Grant Gleason, Theodor Leschetizky, Emil Liebling, Wilhelm Middelschulte, Fritz Reiner, George Szell, Leopold Stokowski, and Fannie Bloomfield-Zeisler. There is also a significant amount of correspondence with his father. The programs document performances of Oldberg's works by several orchestras, most notably the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
