Summary
  • "This thesis explores the utility of Landsat imagery to assist management of remnant native grasslands for biodiversity conservation. The provision of such a management tool may lead to improved planning and decision making by enabling a greater understanding of the dynamics of these grassy ecosystems. The research was conducted at Terrick Terrick National Park (TTNP) which contains one of the largest known remnants of the Northern Grassland community in Victoria. Managers of the TTNP were concerned that existing monitoring activities were not focussed on the reserve as a whole and requested a 'bird's eye view' monitoring tool. This request led to this study."--Abstract, p. xii.
