Summary
  • On January 23, 2001 a few people set themselves on fire on Tiananmenn Square, Beijing. One woman died and others were severey burnt. The Chinese media immediately reported this incident and alleged those people were Falun Gong practicioners. Next the Chinese Government propagandized the case widely all over the world aiming to instigate peoples hatred toward Falun Gong. But when people watched the propaganda programme from CCTV, they found many suspicious places. In the "False Fire " movie NTD TV systematically analyzed these suspicious places. The analysis exposed that the so called self-immolation case was very likely directed by the Chinese Government to frame Falun Gong and to fabricate excuses for the persecution of Falun Gong.
